Medical Journey

My journey in medicine has been driven by a deep interest in surgery, a commitment to continuous learning, and a desire to help patients facing complex medical conditions. Over the years, I have dedicated my professional life to the diagnosis and surgical management of disorders affecting the brain, spine, and nervous system.

As a neurosurgeon, I understand that neurological conditions can be physically and emotionally challenging for both patients and their families. My goal has always been to combine clinical expertise, careful decision-making, and compassionate care to help patients understand their condition and make informed decisions about their treatment.

Today, as Founder & Chief Neurosurgeon at ANS Super Speciality Hospital, Greater Noida, I continue to work towards providing specialised brain and spine care to patients from Greater Noida, Noida, and the wider Delhi-NCR region.

Education and Specialised Training

Medical career began with my MBBS education at Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College, Meerut, which I completed in 2003. This phase laid the foundation for my understanding of medicine, patient care, and clinical practice.

With a growing interest in surgery, I pursued Master of Surgery (MS) in General Surgery, completing it in 2008. This training helped me develop a strong understanding of surgical principles, operative techniques, patient assessment, and postoperative management.

Treating complex neurological conditions subsequently led me to specialise in neurosurgery. I completed my Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) in Neurosurgery in 2012, associated with King George's Medical University, Lucknow, as recorded in my professional profile.

This advanced training provided me with specialised knowledge and clinical exposure in the management of conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system.

The Beginning of  Neurosurgical Career

During my medical training and professional development, I gained experience at established healthcare institutions, including Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College, Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, Delhi, and King George's Medical University, Lucknow.

These experiences helped me understand the complexities of neurological emergencies, head injuries, brain disorders, and spinal conditions that require specialised evaluation and treatment.

My subsequent professional experience included associations with Max Multi Speciality Hospital and other healthcare institutions listed in my professional profiles.

Each stage of my career has contributed to my clinical knowledge, surgical skills, and understanding of the importance of individualised patient care. I believe that every patient deserves a thorough evaluation, an appropriate treatment plan, and clear communication throughout the treatment journey.

Minimally Invasive and Endoscopic Neurosurgery: Selected minimally invasive and endoscopic procedures for appropriate brain and spinal conditions.

Spine Surgery: Management of spinal disc disorders, spinal canal narrowing, nerve compression, spinal instability, and other conditions affecting the spinal cord and nerves.

Head Injury and Neurotrauma: Assessment and surgical management of selected traumatic brain injuries and intracranial bleeding.

Pediatric Neurosurgery: Surgical procedures, including ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt placement, when clinically indicated. specialized medical field focused on diagnosing and surgically treating nervous system conditions—including the brain, spinal cord, and nerves—in infants, children, and adolescents.

Professional profile records several academic and training-related achievements, including recognition during my postgraduate surgical training, a first rank in the All India MCh Entrance Examination in 2009, recognition during ATLS training at AIIMS, New Delhi, in 2011, and Best Paper Awards at the Neurological Society of India meeting in Bengaluru in 2011 and UP Neurocon, Meerut, in 2012.

My profile also records research and academic contributions, including a publication in the American Journal of Neuroradiology in 2011.

These experiences have reinforced my belief that medicine requires continuous education, scientific thinking, and a willingness to learn from new evidence and clinical experience.

Philosophy of Patient Care

As a neurosurgeon, I understand that a diagnosis involving the brain or spine can create uncertainty and anxiety. Patients and their families often have important questions about treatment, recovery, risks, and the future.

I believe that listening carefully to patients is an essential part of good medical practice. I make it a priority to help patients understand their condition, discuss suitable treatment options, and explain the potential benefits and risks of recommended procedures.

I also believe that surgery should never be considered in isolation. A patient's overall health, the severity of the condition, expected outcomes, and individual circumstances must all be considered when developing a treatment plan.

My approach is guided by three principles: clinical responsibility, transparent communication, and compassionate care.
